parking brake pedal return
vehicle is a 1988 560sl...when i release the parking brake, the pedal will not return to the top without some assistance. where should i grease or adjust to get the pedal to move freely. i recently replaced the rotors on the rear and inspected the parking brake shoes while the rotors were off. the shoes were in good condition as i thought this may be the problem. thanks for your help...

RE: parking brake pedal return
There are access holes in the rear rotors to adjust the park brake shoes just like adjusting drum brakes on older american cars. With the rear wheels off, you rotate the rotor till the adjuster star wheel is visible, then rotate the star wheel till shoes just clear the surface of the rotor drum surface. I mention this because there may be too much distance from the shoes to the surface, not allowing full retraction.

RE: parking brake pedal return
the tension is good whenever you step on the pedal to apply the parking brake?
