Default owning a benz

Hi all, Never in my life did I think I could afford a benz, but I have recently been looking into getting a diesel engine and converting it into a biodiesel engin. My friend owns a benz and when he told me about his 500$ rear view mirror replacement... I almost had a heart attack. Is it THAT expensive to own and maintain a benz??

Default RE: owning a benz

Once you start reading and learning other peoples stories, you start to do things yourself, simple things like changing the oil, removing a door panel, changing a mirror, etc. and you save yourself a lot of money. The older of a vehicle you have, obviously, the more maintenance is required. There are tons of indy MBZ repair shops around and the dealer should usually be your last option. Not to damper your hopes of buying a Mercedes, if you don't take care of it, it will take a bite out of your wallet.
