Default nuetral safety switch-66 230

Three weeks ago I got in my 1966 230 and turned the key and nothing happened. Before this occasion the car started and ran fine.

What I've confirmed to be working-
-The battery
-The alternator
-The starter

My suspicion was that it was a bad starter so I replaced it with no affect.

The conditions and other symptoms-
-It was raining when last time it was started.
-It has been raining nearly every day since February
-The #3 fuse (Automatic Transmission) blows every time I turn the key. Even now when the car doesn't start.
-The instrument panel guages don't move (except for gas guage) nor do the ignition sequence lights turn on.

After more research I suspected that it may be the neutral safety switch, however all the manuals say that it is also connected to the reverse lights and they work. Plus...I can't seem to find the neutral safety switch.

Other manuals speak of
-Starter switch
-Ignition swith
-Starter relays

None of which can I find or know what they look like.

Am I going down the right path?
Does anyone have any other ideas of what it may be?

Thanks to all that read this.
