Default New 190, tech help needed

Hey all, greetings from Montreal. Just bought a 190e, 1991, runs great no rattles, squeaks or anything...

There are 3 problems that i knew of before i bought the car, and for that i need some help to know where to start looking.

Problem 1: rear drivers side window does not work. what and where do i check first?

Problem 2: AC does not work, but you can hear the compresser come on and off...

Problem 3: seems like the heat is always on, no matter what button i push, nothing helps...i think i can redirect the heat, but no temperature control.

The car is clean has 200,000 KM, or 120,000 Miles. The previous owner took great care of it, the seats look like they have never been sat in...

The rear window is probably an easy fix, my concern is more that the heat isalways on...the AC can be fixed in the spring...Are these 2 problems related? I read somewhere that the whole control for the climate can be a problem on these models. How can i test it?

Thanks in advance!

Remove the door panel and check the wiring. Sometimes the wires can come apart. Next check your switches and make sure they work. Spray some electrical contact cleaner on the switches or you can swap "working" switches and see if that helps. If that doesnt work, then id be looking for a new or used window motor.

I have a document which describes how to troubleshoot the 190 auto climate control system; if you will let me know where to send it (electronic) I will be glad to pass along. Souonds like your monovalve is leaking, for one thing; not hard nor expensive to fix.
