Default neutral safety

I have a 93 300e, I need to replace the neutral safety switch. Has anyone here done this themselves? How difficult of a job is it?

hello the job is pretty easy two10 mm hold the switch on, and 10mm holds on the shift linkage. i think you want the car in N or D when replacing switchonly for the reason of accessing the shift linkage screw. pretty simple on left side of transmission.

well, I did it.. but it's not that simple. You only have about 1/2 inch area to work in.I don't think I have it adjusted properly, but at least it starts.
