They're used for high-speed switching. It's one of those things you appreciate but don't have to worry about... like Wonder Bras.

 

You probably already know this, but be very careful handling MOSFET transistors as they are prone to damage from static electricity.

some doesn't want to spend $1k for a new instrument cluster like DRTYLNDY. a big savings compared to the $12 each.

he needs a couple, but there are 3 inside and he needs to replace them all because they work together. if two got busted, the other one is nearing it's end because it takes all the load for some time.
