I have a 1991 350 sd 204,000 miles. that will not go into reverse, all other shifting is smooth and dependable. The fluid is clear and does not smell bad (burned), I was told to try the modulator valve first as it is the cheapest along with fluid and filter change.
I bought the correct modulator ...but inside the packaging was a slip of paper that warned of correct vacuum adjustment or you could suffer transmission and or engine damage.
Can someone PLEASE tell me what I need to do to install this thing properly? Or could somebody with a manual scan the appropriate pages for me?
