First post in the forum...be kind

I have an ML280 2008 model. Like the car, hate the COMAND sytem.

What are my options for upgrading to something more advanced and better? I've come across an Android based system, but would prefer if there is an OEM based system instead. I have an OK mechanical ability so would prefer to also do the work myself.

I have seen a few options, most of which come from China. Try googling "mercedes comand system alternative" there are several options/threads that come up. Best of luck!

 

It won't be hard to find an OEM based unit. But, to be honest, Android head unit is becoming increasingly mainstream, maybe you could try to reduce some functions you don't like for yourself. It won't be a hard work.
