Am I insane? The rear view mirror of my 2005 clk convertible "fell" off...hanging by two wires. Upon further inspection, the seperation occured between the plastic base which was formerly adhered to a rubber base or cushion. there was glue type residue on both surfaces. When taken to the dealership, we were informed that the "whole windshield" may have to be replaced...they would "try" an apoxy...but no guarantees! so I repeat my question...am "I" insane ? please advise if you can! jbm0791
