Hi all!
A Mercedes 200 TD (wagon) recently caught my eye... It was imported from Germany about 5 years ago. Standard 5 speed, deisel engine, looks to be in good shape mechanically, no body rust, new paint, 127,000 km. The owner says the brakes are good (4 wh. disc), new tires, starts easily... and isasking $12,900 Canadian. Not deluxe in the interior department. Manual power windows/locks, fabric seats. I've never looked at Mercedes in terms of purchasing one.... any idea whether this is in the "right price" ball-park based on my general description...? I haven't even driven ityet, but I've made an appointment and will have a garage look it over if I like the way it handles.</P>


What can you expect from a car of this age/ km / wear? What should I be watching out for, gernerally? Any advice appreciated! Thanks...</P>
