mercedes 190e 2.3 1991
Please help!!!!! I have a 91 190e 2.3 it wont start.....I dont hear the fuel pump come on when you turn the key on....is there a fuse or a relay for this? If so where is it located? Please help my car is stuck at work and right now I need to get it home....
My advice would be to get the car home before something bad happens to it.
If you are going to repair it yourself, it could be a dozen things and you will need time to trouble shoot.
Generally, when this has happened to me, the first thing I do is check to see if the fuel pump is getting 12v on the connections with a volt meter. This puts you in the right direction pretty quick. If you have voltage at the pump, it should be running. If no voltage, then check the fuel pump relay, the auto collision shut off in the trunk, fuses etc. Hopefully you do not need a fuel control module.

Ok, I got my glasses on looking in the manual. Gasoline model?
The (fuel pump relay) located under the hood, behind the battery, on the passengers side. It more like a circuit module, not something you can test with a meter.
The (overload relay)may have one or two fuses on top which may have blown, or it could be the relay itself which is under $50. Usually if this part blows, you need to inspect the car for damaged wiring or another ignition problem exists, but it can stop the car from running.
