Looking into a first W124 purchase. Most particularly a early 80's but I'll take 90's for a good deal and good shape. Willing to spend about $950 max on repairs if there's any issues with it at purchase. I'm looking for a pre-purchase inspection from a local MB dealer in NJ that my father worked at. My price range is $1000-1500. How reliable are the 300Es? I'm positive I can do most of the work and save the money (cheap, gotta be nowadays). Thanks in advance.
