I've always wanted to get the 90s body style SL because I believe that the design is timeless. I also have recently been eyeing them because you can get a very nice looking SL for 5-10k with low miles. One of the things I keep hearing from friends and other people is that you want to stay away because the maintenance on those cars will cost more than the car itself...

anyone have any experience with these cars and/or know what it is that I should be looking out for if I were to actually go buy one?
