Default Ipod Battery Drain

I have a '07 CLS 550 with factory installed Ipod integration. When i first purchased the vehicle I used a first generation 20 gig Ipod that worked fine for a month or two and then it would not work at all, anytime you press "aux" it just read "no ipod". Took it in for service and they told me it was an Ipod problem. So I bought a new 60 gig Ipodthat again worked fine for a couple months and then it would no longer hold a charge overnight. If I charge up the Ipod it works fine while I'm in the car but if I leave it hooked up in the glove compartment overnight it drains the battery and when you start up the car it displays "no ipod" and it will not recharge off the car. Again, the dealer has told me its an Ipod problem. I have a hard time believing two different Ipods are the problem here and I'm a bit frustrated with the service. Any info in this regard would be great. Best.

Default RE: Ipod Battery Drain

I am only speculating, where is your I pod plugged in, if it is in the lighter jack could it be backfeeding anything on that circuit, maybe your power cord is bad
