Man, i just got a dose of sorriness today. My girlfriend's relative loaned her their son's 1981 240D to see if she wanted to borrow it after her VW lease it out in January. She's in nursing school so they wanted to do something nice for her to help her out. Their son doesn't appreciate the charm of the 240D, i suppose, so they had it available to loan.

Anyways, i have grown to appreciate the car and have been driving it around when available. Well, someone hit the car's passenger side front quarter panel at some time today when i was running errands. The panel is dented in a bit with about a 1/2" of paint scraped off in two spots. I assume it will have to get replaced/painted. Are there any of you out there with a round-a-bout estimate on the dollar amount of a repair like this?
