I want to change my rotor & distributor cap on 1986 300E. Their is a pipe in front of the bottom bolt on distribtor. What is this and how do I get by it? Do I have to remove fan to remove disributor cap & rotor?

No sir, you do not have to take the fan off to change these parts. Nor do you have to move that pipe. you have to have a metric allen socket. It takes some time but should be done as part of a tune up.

 

Thanks for the info Buck. Are those bolts Allen or can I use a Torx Bit?
