Mercedes SLK 320 2001. Hot air is coming out of the AC vents on the passenger's site. I cannot change the temperature. AC works fine on the driver's side, the temp can be adjusted,however I cannot change air distribution on both sides. Does anyone know what the problem is? I have the temp to low on the driver's side, but hot air keeps coming out. Robert

 

I have a similar problem with my '86 190E, the driver dash vent blows at what temp you set it at, the center dash vent always blows cold, the passenger dash vent barely puts out any air, same with the vents in the footwells. They sure make these cars funny!

I have an '08 smart fortwo on order, should get it any day now, I reserved it the first morning of the reservation program.

 

Everyone with a similar problem - just have had it done by Mercedes garage and it was the Duo valve. All sorted and fine now. It costs £200 to have it fixed.
