Hit and Run
Some truck backed into my S320 and folded in my front grill and the corner of the bonnet at the grill. No one saw anything and no note left. Thanks a lot mate.
What do you do? Leave it for a while? Let it settle in. Every time I look at the car now it has a nasty scar.
What will a grill set me back?
Also recently had someone coin the car as well so not having a good time with my car.
Wife thinks I love car more than her...I hate it when things of beauty get wrecked. What a bitch...not my wife, just things that happen sometimes.

RE: Hit and Run
we are the most complicated thing and very unpredictable
few decades from now, microchips will be implanted under the skin and that will be our VIN.
no need for access cards. sensors know who exactly you are.

RE: Hit and Run
Regarding the fender bender: "SON OF A BI...." (as Chris Farley would say)
Whomever probably didn't even know they hit it.
There are many brain-dead people in the world.
It was probably a big delivery truck or something.
Face it. There can be nothing wrong with that car, which a box of new parts cannot fix.
Did you know that many of the racing Ferraris have been welded and repaired numerous times.
I remember a conversation with a retired driver at Daytona 24hrs, and I can't remember their names for some reason, but he said that when he began racing with Ferrari, the car they gave him had been welded so many times that there was barely any remnant of the original frame. He said it bothered him at first, wondering what sort of car he must drive, but the cars were repaired properly and performance never suffered from the repairs.
Oh yeah, the old man's name was Gianpiero Moretti, but I think of that story every time I get some silly little bender. I also get the car repaired as soon as possible, and move on.
