Hello,

I have my driver door apart on a 98 ML320 to replace a lock actuator assembly.

I have removed everything ,,,,,,,,,,,,BUT the assembly will not come out.

The old assembly is hanging up on is the exterior lock shaft that comes into the Assembly on the far side from the exterior key lock.

Unable to see anything in there to figure this out!

The assembly is flopping around but is still pinned by this connection.

How do I get it off of that shaft?????

if your talking about the key lock tumbler there is a torx screw that has to be removed from it...the access hole is behind the weather striping on the side of the door.remove the screw and then pull out the tumbler...be sure to hold the screw in place with something or remove it because they fall down into the door. also when trying to pull out the actuator the window guide rail might be in the way and you might have to drill out the rivet so you can remove the actuator.
