Default Help!! Speed sensor problem??

2003 E320
Car all of a sudden started having problems. After starting it runs for about 45 secs before speedometer goes down and the ABS light comes on. Then it stops shifting to second gear.
Update:
I have replaced all 4 speed sensors but it is still having the same problem. The only difference is that I think it goes into second or third gear(i am not sure) because I can drive it on the freeway at over 60miles an hr but the speedometer still goes down to zero and stops working.
When this happens, at a stop or after bringing the vehicle to a halt, it is difficult to move the car because it feels heavy and the car labors to move after I push the gas pedal. I have to be tender with the push until it slowly builds momemtum and then I can actually reach a speed of at least 60miles an hr with the speedometer still down. Do I need to reset the codes? What else could be causing this to happen??? Help

Default RE: Help!! Speed sensor problem??

Is the CEL Check Engine Light ON? If not does it come on few a moment or two when you first turn the ignition on?

First step. Get the DTC codes read, reset and reread in order to ensure the problem has cleared or alternatively is has come right back.
Some places will do this for free.

Next check battery voltage with engine off. Voltage? Should be circa 13v a and with engine running. Voltage? Should be circa 14v+

Advise outcome with additional info like service history, mileage and anything else that might be relevant and I will try to help further.
