Hello.
I am currently the owner of a Mercedes 413CDI(Tiptronic) which has beenconverted into a campervan.
It was purchased in 2001 and has been working well.. until the last 2 months or so.
The problem that occurred to me is a transmission problem.
While driving, the car starts off fine, but when it shifts into 4th or 5th (changes from time to time), the car goes into Neutral.
This happens when I set the car into Automatic on the tiptronic stick.
It is fine when placed in manual mode.
The problem occurrs even if the engine is heated up.
I thought it might be a problem with the tranny, but three more problems occurred.
The Central door locking stops working sometimes, and the audio resets by itself.
The indicators on the car sometimes blink at a really fast speed, and sometimes, returns to normal speed.
I think it might be a CPU problem.
Does anyone have any ideas on what is wrong?
Help would really be appreciated as the campervan is really important to meas I am a travel agent and require to ride my campervan a lot.
