If somebody happen to read this post and willing to give an opinion- a lot of appreciation..
E 200class, built year 97.
Stuck in parking gear while sent for a carwash including the bottom.
Tried with force but later come in between P and R, reverse gear is not engage though, then the key couldn't be remove.
I am not technical person..,what could be the problem?

I did a look on similar problem posted, could be the brake pedal switch1.switch light ok 2.brake shifter interlock switch...now where they are located?..if found can I bypass them using a wire?(assuming the brake shifter interlock switch malfunction)..now I left her 4 miles away...currently night time here..
I am very suspicious that a mechanic would ask for a shifter replacement without lookint at those switch..back to my ignorance, where is the switch?

 

Now, I did some reading, and the brake switch would be located just above the brake pedal.Assuming that I unscrew a few nuts and successful to exposed the switch,how do I bypass the wire(which colour to which colour) at the omdi connector.I am asking this as it would be 3 days of holiday starting tomorrow and I dont think could get a new replacement switch.Hope some would help.
