Front Tyres Dragging ? Skipping
When slowly reversing my 1998 C200 Sport on full lock, the front tyres seem to be dragging along the road surface rather than following the direction of the Wheel.
The same is true when moving forward but less so.
Is this a problem, my local tyre dealer tells me all is OK, it is just caused by the good steering lock on the Car.

RE: Front Tyres Dragging ? Skipping
i have encountered this kind of complaint too.
i think the full steering lock was too tight for the car to handle. they do it to make it appear that the turning radius is small[:@]
on sandy pavement, can you hear the tire make that scratching sound?
on the asphalt or good road, can you feel it lock tight and release, then lock tight and release over and again?
this happens if the tire is a little worn out. on new tires it doesn't happen.
it doesn't happen on narrow tires also.
anyway, you never turn that tight everyday...so ignore this flaw.
