Engine starts then stops on 2000 S500

Engine starts then stops on 2000 S500
Seems that the local MB dealer cannoy locate the problem. My 2000 S 500 will start, then stop, start then stop then finally kick over. This problem may not happen again for approx. 1-2 weeks then start over again. Seems like it is in the ignition switch or maybe the key. Need help.

You mean it will crank, then the engine will run for a second and then die?
Crank the engine, run for a second and then die?
Then it cranks and runs?
First two things that come to mind, CPS and how is the fuel pressure when it cranks, runs for a second and then dies?
