engine oil and filter change
anybody know what type of motor oil i could use and what type of oil filter and where i could purchase it. I got a 2003 c230 sedan . I dont wanna get ripped off by the dealerships so im trying to figure out how to do it myself.

mobil synthetic oil 5w-30.
benz dealers usually charge somewhere between $60 to $90.
local lube places will charge anywhere from $80 to $110. (remember it's full syn oil)
benz dealer does not have to take off the oil pan cover to get to drain plug, coz they suck the oil out from top.
local lube places will have to take off the oil pan cover in order to drain. upon doing so...they tend to create problems such as not putting it back properly and later oil pan cover is gonna fall off on the highway.
