my engine light is on all the time, My step son put oil in car and over filled it and shows as high level is this why? Also I want to take some oil out but cannot find the oil pan plug, where is it. Also it misses and idel changes up then down almost stalls. All related or different problem. How do I do a quick fix.

Wow... Ok first off dont start this car till you fix the oil issue. In your Owners Manual It will specifcally state not to overfill oil because it cause problems with having to high of an oil pressure in your engine possibly causing seals to get blown.
Ok you have an 05 c230 by your profile, sounds similar to my 01 c240. On my vehcile you'll need to remove therear engine/tranny skide plate 6 screws hole this in place. I dont recall the size of the socket, but it is lessthan 10mm.
once the oil pan is exposed use a 13mm socket to get the plug out. Then use your MFD to check your oil level. But honestly the best way to get a good idea on oil level is to drain the system and refill/replace filter while your at it.
If your still having issues after doing all this, take it to the dealer because you may have a really big problem on your hands.
