Hi All, I have a strange problem that I was wondering if anyone could assist with. I have a 2000 E320 that started acting up a couple of months ago. Initially the symptom was that once I turned the engine off, it would not start again until I waited an hour. If I tried to start it within the hour timeframe, it would not start and I would have to wait an additional hour from that time. It sounded like it was trying to turn over but just not getting any gas. Waiting an hour always resolved whatever problem it was, though.

Recently, however, it has gotten worse. Now it will only run for about 15 minutes before the engine shuts off with no warning lights or anything. I took the car to a local (non Mercedes) mechanic here, and he replaced the fuel filter, but so far that is all I have done to the car.
Does anyone have any ideas what this might be?
