There are some molded covers made; I understand they look pretty good when installed correctly.
you can buy a new replacement pad at the dealer; $$$$
there's a company, "Just Dashes" who can repair the pad to like-new condition; $$$
or you can get over it and live with the cracks; consider them "patina". Dash cracks are like germs; everyone has them, anyway. My car is 19 years old; I understand it is not going to be perfect, but it's still a good car.

I tried Armour All - silicone to keep them from growing and seems to work but unfortunately my plastic speaker covers are also cracking - I guess from the heat in the summer. I may have to replace them - anybody knows how to do that ?
