I have a 97 C230 Sedan. I was driving home from work today and discovered that the backlighting has gone out behind the trip odometer and the main odometer for the car. It appears that both are still functioning, just nearly impossible to see. I imagine that there is a burned out bulb in the console.

How difficult is this to get at? Do I have to tear apart the entire dash to access. Is this an instance where I need to take it to the dealer? I imagine the bulb is at least $20 from MB, ha ha. Any help with this would be appreciated.
