I have a 1992 Mercedes 190e 2.3. I am removing the head, but one of the bolts are stripped. My question is, do you know if the head bolts thread into the head at all, or just the engine block? I am wanting to know if I can just grind the head of the bolt off, lift the head out and then extract the left over bolt shaft?

I have a 1997 Mercedes V12, Can anyone tell me if the head bolts can be reused or are they stretch one-time use?
