Could be as simple as a fuse but I doubt it. There are 2 main parts. The cruise control box and the actuator. Neither are hard to get to but they are expensive. the control box is under the dash about where your shins are. It's a silver box about 5 inches by 4 inches. You can open it up and look for anything obvious. and the actuator is under the hood near the injector pump. Both are expensive and the best bet is to take it to a mechanic and they can test them and only replace what's bad.
