Cracked Oil Pan

Hello.
I have a 2012 GLK350 4-Matic and there is a crack in the oil pan(?), a small hairline crack about an inch long right next to the oil drain plug.
I bought the truck used without the plastic skid plate and have been driving without the plate until the skid plate arrived. I dive under the truck to install the plate and find that crack leaking oil, I have no idea how it happened, a rock maybe? I park on the street so I never have the same spot twice, never had the chance to notice oil puddles.
It leaks about a pint every 12 hours, I thought it was just blowing through oil because I drive the truck hard.
So....is it a big deal to replace the oil pan or am I looking at hoisting the engine, I can't find anything online anywhere detailing the process. Any suggestions or advice?
