I am new to purchasing a classic car, currently looking at the purchase of an 86' 560SL with 120,000miles. Any advice on what I should look out for? The owner says has not driven it more than 700miles in the last 6 years. The exterior looks nice.
I will of course take it to a mechanic to check out before purchase. But I thought I'd get some advice on common issues with this model, year and mileage level. I intend to drive this car at least 3-4,000 miles per year.

Also, ballpark range of value?
