CLK 320 Knocking noise
Hi All,
Please help.
Since last week when I switch the car on (CLK 320 2004) for the first time each day, there is a knocking/clicking noise that comes from thedashboard. After a few minutes the noise disappears.
I have tried turning off thestereo in case it was coming from the speakers. I have tried turning off the heater.
Has anyone had the same problem or know what could be wrong??
Thanks
Please help.

RE: CLK 320 Knocking noise
You will probably also notice that you have no drivers footwell air flow or both pass and driver air flow depending on your climate control system. What is happening is your climate control system is going through a self check. I have seen several cases where the plastic arm that moves the footwell flaps is cracked and the motor gear is just turning inside it causing the noise you are probably hearing. Part of the dash has to be taken apart it that is the case.
Most likley cause from what I've seen.
