changing tranny fluid

Default changing tranny fluid

Have an 87 260e and i wanna change the tranny fluid, but i can't find out where to put it. I looked over the entire manual twice and still haven't found out where the crap goes. Anyone help?

try putting it on the dipstick tube, but don't extract from there.

are we talking of manual or automatic transmission?

yes, but i am considering that he have an automatic transmission. he must use a small funnel to fill it up from the transmission oil dipstick. the engine must be keep running while filling it. if it's a manual transmission, then its another story:
he must lift the car up to get access on that filler plug. of course you got two down there, and you must fill it on the upper one since the lower one is for draining.
be careful not to overfill it. it takes only 1.5 liters when drained (modified from 1.8 liters before).
