Change your own oil -- quickly & without mess!
I've been changing my own oil inmy '88 560sec, '99 E320, and '71 280SLfor years now, using a hand-pumped oil extractor. It's fast, easy, and I don't have to get down on the garage floor and get hot oil all over my hands andclothes. It sucks the oil right out the dipstick tube!
Just remove the oil filler cap and dipstick, extract the oil, change your filter, add new oil, replace cap and dipstick, and you're done. No more dealing with stripped oil drain plugs, or removing and replacing those maddening plastic underbody shields.
Don't buy a small one like I did at first or you'll have to stop and empty it in the middle of the procedure.
This big one is on sale at Amazon for almost half off -- it's usually $186 and is only $99 today!
You'll also need a large sturdy jerry can to store and carry the waste oil. No sense in making a trip to the oil dump every time you change oil!
