I have a '95 C280 with central locking with a normal key. I unlocked the driver's door this morning, but only the driver's door unlocked. I had to put something in the back seat and opened it manually. I then got in the car and it wouldn't start. Did this fault in the locking mechanism keep the car from starting. I tried locking and unlocking again, but the key only unlocked the driver's door again and again, the car wouldn't turn over. Any ideas? Please help!

 

Yoou can program your electroic key to open the drivers door only or all four doors, look in yuor owners manual on how to reprograming the key to unlock all four doors.

 

Unfortunately, my key (and all my copies) is not electronic. Any other suggestions?

 

Well, after stressing about it all day at work, I relocked the car and unlocked it and all the locks popped up and the car started fine. I don't know what happened this morning. I just hope it doesn't happen again.

 

Prtobably that is the reset function for a key car?
