Default c230 ignition problems

I have a 1997 c230 mercedes benz, and when you stick the key in the ignition, it doesn't turn; and also the steering wheel won't turn either. i do know that cars do have steering wheel locks like that, but this is something different because i've been trying for days and it won't break free. also if anyone does have an idea what it could be, how much do you think it would cost to fix it.

thanks

yes.

and if it's your car, you must know the vin.

i don't want members getting info from this forum on how to start a car which might not belong to them at all.
