I filled my C180 to full tank last week. After driving it for a few kilometers, I noticed that the fuel gauge dropped to empty. Each time I start the car, the same happens. Anyone got any suggestions to this. I have been told by a friend that it might be a fuel gauge problem and that he had got both gauges replaced in his car.
Is there any way of testing the gauges and can I change them myself or is any special tooling required? Also do both gauges need to be replaced?
