Hi all, seems I've snapped my speedo cable on my 79 350se W116. No problem driving home last night but I have a rattle at idle now that sounds like it's coming g from the transmission. Goes away at higher revs. Any ideas what's going on?? Any thoughts appreciated!

 

I think I figured it out, my catalytic converters are right next to the tranny. I think one of them is has loose material inside rattling around. Much easier to deal with!
