blower trouble

ok... today took out the vent assembly as well as the wiper arm. i see the housing for the motor, but there is no way to access the motor itself from the outside. it has to be done from the inside of the car. ... i know no other way. but while i was under the hood, i found what i believe to be the power connector for the blower from the blower resistor. i disconnected the wires and applied 12v and ground to the respective pins, and the motor did not turn on.. so i am pretty sure the motor is my problem. so i am working on finding a replacement motor now, and would still like to know if anybody has any knowledge of accessing a blower motor from the inside of the car

OK.. today i took out the dash, and i can see the whole vent and evaporator assembly. I can look through the vent at the firewall and see the blower. So i am thinking that all i can do now is try to remove all parts that are inside the cab, just to be able to access the motor. seems like a whole lotta work to do
