A friend of mine had problem with his battery - S500 - '99. The car will not start until when I gave him a jump. The battery was then checked out and the reading is 14.3. Do you consider this to be OK? He drove the car for about an hour with only the radio on. He returned, shut off the engine, and he start the car again but will not start even will not give a good crank. Any help?
Is there a special fluid for power steering fluid for Benz or the regular one will do?

 

14.3 v sounds fine.
You say it won't start and thet he then drove for an hour.......Doesn't make sense.

Can you please restate the problem. it doesn't appear to be the battery.

Thanks. The car started after given him a jump. He drove the car for about an hour thinking the battery will recharge itself. Even we have to re-code the radio. He shut off the engine after driving for an hour. He re-started the car immediately but will not start again.
