B class turn off ESP

B class turn off ESP
Hi,
The manual of my A4 says I should turn off ESP if I get stuck in the snow. I had a chance to test that for the first time yesterday. Got stuck in ~2' of snow, car wouldn't move with ESP. I turned it off and powered out (I got all wheel drive and winter tires).
My friends B class 2007 Merc doesn't have any apparent way to turn off ESP. What would you do in a similar situation in a B class?
Thanks!

Have him double check the owners manual to make sure you can't turn it off.
As for your car. Your right ALWAYS turn it off if you can. Because spinning your tires while trying to power out of the snow, while having the ESP apply the brakes to those wheels can cause damage to your drive train. I think that is listed as a warning is the owners manual.
