For anyone interested, the dealer found a code 007 elec. acell module defective. Drove the car and asr light came on again. Found codes 007, 096, and 224. swapped modules and drove and module failed. Replaced module and throttle acuator. Car runs fine. Apparently the throttle acuator was the cause of all the problems. I guess my thought would be that if you experience a "limp" throttle or your ASR light comes on for no apparent reason, the first thing I would look for is a faulty throttle acuator. Hope this might be helpful for someone.
