any common problems with evap leaks??
I have a c230 kompressor that blinks at me constantly. I got the codes and got a p1457 large evap leak code. tried to perform a smoke test and I don't know how to shut the cvs solenoid...any help??? maybe the cvs is the problem but I know it isn't the cap already tried that! It has always been hard to fill at the gas station if that is related possible orvr?? that shouldn't cause a leak though??

cvs=canister shut valve
orvr=rollover valve
Sorry I have been a Honda tech for twelve years, those are Honda's name for the valve/solenoids. I have a scanner to use on honda's but it won't work on my car though, not for operating switches anyway.

i get it... purging valve.
if the vent line is clogged, it's very difficult to fill the tank with fuel.
check the charcoal canister first.

RE: any common problems with evap leaks??
Is that diagram for a c230 kompressor? My diagram is different. My purge valve is on the dr/front strut tower and my canister is above the dr/rear tire with a vent valve located after it??
I will remove the canister and see if it is broken up or loaded with fuel. I s the canister a common problem?
