I have just bought my first Mercedes, its a 1977 300D. I'm new to Mercedes and diesels and just had a question or two. The car has sat for nearly 7 years but had a new motor with only 20,000 miles on it. I know it will need a lot of new parts to get it going again but was wondering if I had missed anything in your opinions. I know it will need a new battery, hoses, glow plugs, all fluids flushed and replaced, tires, fuel drained and tank cleaned, new fuel filters, air filter, and posibly some new gaskets. Is there anything I'm missing? I'm used to the small block Chevy's and this is a whole new world for me. Any suggestions would be appreciative. Thanks.

 

I bought the car from my uncle and paid 160 for it but I do have the receipts from the engine and the car, not positive if its brand new or newly rebuilt but it only has 20,000 on it. Was just really looking for something I overlooked while I'm trying to get it working again.
