Help?
Didn't get any answers on the newbie page.
Someone should be able to listen to the clues and send me in the right general direction. I would take it the dealer but it is an hr away and I don't trust to drive it....
Had my local dealer check it and here are the clues:
44k miles
Idles fines and smooth
Fuel rail pressure remains constant even when cutting out
New fuel filter and MAP
Secondary ignition seems ok, no arc'ing
No codes set yet
Happened suddenly at h'way speed, just lost power.
Sputters when pressing on gas or above 2k rpm (like it is starving)
Cat converters seam unlikely as cause since it would have come on slowly
Once I figure it out I'll probably have a V8 moment, but right now it's got me stumped.

Wow, 60+ views and not a single thought. Anyway, for those who are interested in what I found it was a throttle position sensor.
