Default '97 SL600 suspension issues

I recently had my level control valve replaced which was not a cheap fix and soon after I got the car back I went over a bump and something came loose i assume. Most all the instruments (tach, oil pressure, miles per gallon etc) went dead and the oil pressure and check engine and esp lights came on and the car went in to limp home mode. For brief periods of time the instruments will come back to life and the car with come back to life but that is for only a few minutes at a time.. Has anyone experienced this before??

If I was losing power from the battery wouldnt I have alot of other things go out as well .. even the car dieing... the speedo works but not the tach.. and dont you think that it is a bit more than a coincidence that I just had them tearing through my front end suspension .. like maybe they didnt secure some electrical connection well enough??

yeah sounds to me like a ground wire loose. sometimes just a loose connection at the battery causes small spikes in the electrical system. causing lights to flicker and MIL lights. mil lights could be caused by the control unit seeing low battery voltage.Maybe they disconnected the battery when working on your car. this is just a suggestion would be the first place to look. check the obvious first. pinched wire? maybe just by coincidence you know have another problem too. not related to your level control valve.

thanks for the advise.. unfortunately I am certain the mechanic will assure me that it is a new and unrelated problem that he didnt cause and be sure to charge me 6 or 8 "mercedes spending units"

the other interesting thing that i think i mentioned in my original post is the lights that came on.. I understand the oil light.. as soon as the oil pressure gauge loses power the dash light will come on. but the ESP light came on as well..that is why i was thinking a lose wire some place in the suspension system..
