Exclamation '96 E300D drawing 3.6 amps at rest, Short?

I have a '96E300D and the turn signals, flashers, trunk release and rear window defroster all quit at the same time. I checked the amps it is drawing with the car off and it measured 3.8 amps which seems high.
How many amps should a mercedes draw at rest?

Wink '96 E300D drawing 3.6 amps at rest, Short?

I think I may have found the source of the problem.
When checking for a short I isolated it to the number 3 fuse under the back seat which says Command Control Unit, lights.
I had pulled the ECU to have it flashed so I went back to that area and found that the computer next to the ECU did not have the top wiring harness fully seated. I seated the harness and the amperage draw dropped down to 0.2 amps.
However other things like the windows also stopped working.
So I unhooked the battery for an hour and re connected it in an attempt to re-set the computers.
Now only the passenger window on the driver's side works (and it will or won't work each time the car is started) the wipers do not work, as well as all the other problems it already had like the turn signals, flashers, trunk release and rear window defroster.

I am beginning to think I have hosed up the CCU so am on line looking for a used one the part markings on the computer in question is:
MERCEDES BENZ
210 820 39 26 (08)
TEMIC 335625 95W50
HW: 20/95 SW: 08/95
bar code
5625T5M15C54

If anyone can identify that part and tell me where to get a replacement it would be greastly appreciated.
Thanks for the earlier posts, it's a lonely world out here in DIY land.
