Default 93 190E Fuel Guage stopped working ?

Hello, my '93 190E 2.3 fuel guage appears to have stopped functioning yesterday.... low level light came on, filled tank, and now guage shows completely empty with NO low fuel light engaged... I checked the fuse box but didn't see any fuse for the gas guage instrument and didn't see any blown fuses ?
Does the fuel guage have a fuse somewhere else ?
What's my next step ?
Thanks for the help,
Padge

no fuse because the fuel gauge sensor doesn't need power...just resistance.

try jumpin the wire to ground, and see if the hand moves.

Hey Sleepwalker,
Thanks for the advice,... you probably WILL believe this, but rather than just "eyeball" the fuses, I pulled the fuse that would control the instrument panel and there was, in fact, a hairline split in the middle ! ???? Replaced it and all working fine now.
Embarrassed,
Padge

if it's the fuse fuse for the instrument cluster...then that is another story.

we are talking only of a fuel gauge sensor.

it is the fuse for the instrument cluster. you should have mentioned that other gauge doesn't work as well.
